Known for an exercise in endurance along the LT100 circuit, the trail climbs high from Willis Gulch to 12,500 ft. With a net elevation gain of 3203 ft, the LT 100 loop is followed by a welcome descent yet requires another accent back over the pass before returning down the trail to the town of Twin Lakes.
