Named for Louisiana Purchase explorer Zebulon Pike, our 4.25″ x 4.25″ ceramic coaster captures this ultra-prominent peak as it rises high above Colorado Springs. Part of our 14er Collection Series, Pikes Peak, at 14, 110 ft. is the highest Front Range peak of the Rocky Mountains. This peak is a National Historic Landmark. Formed by a massive intrusion of granite that through erosion eventually revealed the huge dome-like mountain we see today, from the summit, you can understand why Katherine Bates penned the words to “America the Beautiful”. Whether you view from afar, climb to the summit, or take a car on the paved road to the top, you’ll see vistas as far as 100 miles on a clear day. Our coasters are pressed in our studio on to glazed ceramic tiles. Your coasters arrive with a protective cork affixed to the back and are ready for display.
