Mount Rainier looms high above the Seattle and Tacoma cityscapes, towering 14, 410 ft above sea level. A climb to its summit is not for the faint of heart, but offer glacier views, wildflower meadows, pristine forests, and the rush of reward in climbing an active volcano. Mount Rainier is a featured prominence of the Cascade range and is located centrally in Mount Rainier National Park.
