The jagged ridges atop Mt Whitney are featured in our 4.25″ x 4.25″ ceramic coaster. Part of our California Collection Series, Mt. Whitney pays homage to California’s highest point of the Great Basin Divide in both Sequoia and Kings Canyon Nationals Parks. At an elevation of 14508 feet, this majestic peak is also the highest point in the U. S.’s lower 48 states as it rises from the depths in contrast to Death Valley National Park to the east, the lowest point in the U.S. Whether you apply for a backcountry permit, taking the John Muir or High Sierra Trail or catch a scraggy view from the Interagency Visitors Center near Lone Pine, you are sure to have your breath taken away by this prominent peak. Our original designs are pressed in our studio on to glazed ceramic tiles. Your coasters arrive with a protective cork affixed to the back and are ready for display.
