Pikes Peak, Colorado - Colorado 14er - Poster

Named for Louisiana Purchase explorer Zebulon Pike, our poster art print captures this ultra-prominent peak as it rises high above Colorado Springs. Part of our 14er Collection Series, Pikes Peak, at 14,110 ft. is the highest Front Range peak of the Rocky Mountains. This peak is a National Historic Landmark. Formed by a massive intrusion of granite that through erosion eventually revealed the huge dome-like mountain we see today, from the summit, you can understand why Katherine Bates penned the words to "America the Beautiful". Whether you view from afar, climb to the summit, or take a car on the paved road to the top, you'll see vistas as far as 100 miles on a clear day.
