As part of our Rocky Mountain National Park Series, our original design captures the park’s infamous mammal, the “wapiti” against a starlit evening sky. Commonly known as elk, these majestic creatures have existed as part of the natural landscape of RMNP for much of modern history. No trip to the park is complete without seeing a large herd sauntering across the road near Estes Park or hearing the sound of bulls calling, also known as bugling, for cows in the fall.
